Nutrition is a vast field and so vital to physical health. After all, you are what you eat.

"Eat healthy, happily, with company, and mindfully."

How much do you eat of what? Do you eat mindfully or quickly? What proportion of foods do you eat, when?

If you eat for pleasure, you can train yourself differently. Eating a single grape for 10 minutes with rapt attention can taste better and bring more value to your life than a whole ice cream cone.

Exercise

We were born to move. Exercis is a way of returning our bodies to their natural state of evolution. Depending on your body type, different exercsises make sense.

Routine, training for an event, training with other people, and exercising targeted parts of your body are all different ways to grow with physical exercise.

Consider the different sub-components of exercise below:

Cardiovascular (Heart)

Strength (lifting)

Endurance (marathon)

Flexibility (yoga)

What kind of exercise plan is best for you?

Relaxation

Our limbic systems are designed well to handle threats and react to them. We were great at handling saber-toothed tigers when tthey attacked us, and we could rely on our quick, instinctual bolts of adrenaline to get us to do the right thing.

However, in today's world, these threats are generally over-exaggerated. Over-stimulation of the adrenaline and fight-or-flight response creates unnecessary stress.

By learning how to use your para-sympathetic nervous system and stimulate the relaxation response, or understanding the "rest and digest" body system and integrating that into your life, you can live in a state of relaxation.

Being relaxed is much healthier for you than being stressed. Learn how to relax.

Health

Lastly, maintaining your health with regular checkups and physicals with your doctor helps prevent the unexpected. It empowers you to find any subtle diseases that you may miss and see overarching trends in your life.
